After a careful anamnesis of the person, the eyesight analysis assesses the refractive condition of the examined person, is carried out with various tests that aim to find the appropriate correction (spectacles with ophthalmic lenses or contact lenses) according to individual visual needs. Therefore, the skills of the optometrist are aimed at providing a corrective aid suitable for the needs of the individual person.  It is therefore important to specify that the optometrist does not make medical ophthalmic diagnoses, does not manage pathologies, does not prescribe pharmacological or surgical therapies, and does not advise the patient medically, referring the patient for such needs to the competent figure.
